Alloy 20 Lap Joint Flanges are made up of nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), iron (the balance), copper (3–4%), molybdenum (2–3%), along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. These flanges are particularly resistant to acid attacks, especially from sulfuric acid. On the mechanical side, they boast a high tensile strength of around 551 MPa, a yield strength of about 241 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 30%.
