**Duplex Steel Threaded Flanges** are manufactured from duplex stainless steels like UNS S31803 or S32205, which consist of around 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, and 3% molybdenum. This two-phase microstructure of ferrite and austenite offers outstanding mechanical strength—tensile strength of up to 620 MPa—as well as superior stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion resistance. These flanges have an internal threaded bore and are free of welding requirements, making them suitable for applications where there are flammable or explosive atmospheres. The duplex structure also presents higher fatigue strength and thermal stability compared to regular stainless steels.
