Titanium flanges are typically manufactured from commercially pure titanium (Grade 2) or titanium alloys (Grade 5). Grade 2 titanium contains around 99.2% titanium, with traces of iron, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and moderate strength, with a tensile strength of ~344 MPa. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) includes 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, providing higher strength (~900 MPa) and fatigue resistance.
