Alloy Steel F1 Flanges consist of a molybdenum-containing chromium-molybdenum alloy, having about 0.5% molybdenum. This increases strength, hardenability, and heat and oxidation resistance. Although F1 is a low-alloy steel, it shows reliable performance in moderate temperature conditions and has good weldability and machinability and thus can be used for many fabrication purposes.
