Alloy Steel F9 Flanges are produced from a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel having about 9% chromium and 1% molybdenum. The flanges have high tensile strength (commonly between 585–760 MPa), excellent hardenability, and good weldability, thus being suitable for service at elevated temperatures.
