17-7 PH flanges of stainless steel are mainly made of 17–19% chromium and 6.5–7.75% nickel with aluminum being the primary hardening agent (0.75–1.5%). This alloy is heat-treatable, which enables it to be high-strength and hard with good corrosion resistance. Depending on the heat treatment condition (CH900, RH950, TH1050), such flanges can be tensile to 1300 MPa and yield to 1100 MPa. 17-7 PH retains excellent mechanical properties at elevated and sub-zero temperatures, with good formability and weldability in solution-annealed or cold-worked conditions.
