Stainless Steel 310S flanges have 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel content, along with a lower carbon content (maximum 0.08%) than normal 310. The low carbon level enhances weldability and reduces sensitization and intergranular corrosion risks following welding. These flanges possess a tensile strength of approximately 520 MPa and a yield strength of nearly 205 MPa. They exhibit good oxidation and creep resistance to 1100°C (2012°F). Austenitic microstructure provides good toughness, ductility, and formability, so they are best suited to thermal cycling and long-term elevated-temperature service.
